Advocacy Committee

The Advocacy Committee's focus is to monitor and influence legislative issues and priorities in support of an improved behavioral healthcare system for the people of Tarrant County. Membership with the North Texas Commission will allow MHC to share its collective voice with lobbyists representing North Texas interests.

Communications Committee

The Communications Committee's focus is to coordinate with partner agencies ways to connect & coordinate stories, news, or information to membership and the public through social media.

Behavioral Health Equity Committee

The Behavioral Health Equity Committee's focus is to determine strategic immediate and long-term goals for cultural and linguistic competency.

Engagement Committee

The Engagement Committee's focus is to improve communications and networking among and between Mental Health Connection member agencies, key stakeholders, and our community.

Grants Committee

The Grant Committee's focus is to collaboratively identify and research funding opportunities in support of an improved behavioral healthcare system. The committee has decided to meet on a “as needed” basis and recognizes that grant opportunities must be collaborative.

TBRI Committee

The TBRI Committee's focus is to determine and implement strategies to create a resilient, trauma-informed community.

School Mental Health Committee

The School Mental Health Committee's focus is to bring together a diverse group of school staff, medical & mental health providers to discuss how to best address the mental health needs of Tarrant County students.

The Tarrant Cares Governance Committee's focus is to provide oversight to Tarrant County's network of care website.
