Lena Pope Professional and Community Workshop - "Human Trafficking; Recognizing Victims and Working Together to Respond"

This course explores the sex trafficking of minors in our community.  Learn the key vulnerabilities of at-risk groups and how any child can become a victim.  Explore collaboration within the community and ways to respond.  

Presenter(s):  
George Lynch, CEO of Traffick911 and creator of Hooked:  Porn's Hold on the Brain.  He assisted in development of Passport to Freedom, which trains travel industry employees and provides scholarships for trafficking survivors.
Lindsey Speak, Director of Programs for Traffick911 overseeing all prevention, identification, and empowerment initiatives.

$20 general registration, $15 students.  Includes continental breakfast.  Space is limited.

Texas Health and Human Services Commission Regional Workshop - "Implementing Strategies for Integrating Opioid Overdose Education and Naloxone Access"

This workshop will build the 2016 NAS Symposium and the 2016 Texas Opioid Overdose Prevention Training Workshops. The presenters will provide an update on the opioid epidemic in Texas and new trends. Information will be given on how to develop guidelines and strategies for effective street outreach.

Workshops will take place throughout Texas.
