Understand the criteria for PTSD and, be able to differentiate PTSD from Acute Stress Disorder.  Learn to identify risk factors for developing PTSD and, develop an awareness of the major evidence-based approaches to treating PTSD.

Presenter:  Jason Simmons, LMSW, MSW; MHMR of Tarrant County Veteran Services; Marine Corps veteran.  Trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD.

3-hour CEUs; $50 non-MHA members, $40 MHA members, $20 students

Join us on your journey towards becoming a Safe Zone for the LGBTQ community.

Due to overwhelming demand, both parts 1 and 2 of "Sculpting the Needs of an LGBTQ Family" will be held on the same day.  We are offering three complete sessions that will build on gender identity and understanding.  Registrants need to attend only one.

Attending any one session will qualify the registrant to participate in Safe Zone training in September.
